As an organization, The Shakespeare Company is committed to representing our community on our stage. As such, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard for race, colour, religion, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, national origin, ability or age. Based on the diversity of applicants, this may lead to experimentation with changes in – for example – the age, gender, orientation, or ethnicity of characters. We strongly encourage applicants from populations that have been traditionally under-represented.
If there are any potential barriers (language, disability, access need, or any other considerations) preventing you from applying to audition please let us know and we will collaborate with you to find solutions. Auditions and rehearsals will take place in an accessible venue at Ambrose University. The building is equipped with an elevator and has accessible washrooms. Performances will take place at the Vertigo Studio Theatre, which has limited access to the green room, but dressing rooms are fully accessible, as is the rest of the building with use of an elevator.
